Joe Lin, DO

Dr. Joe Lin, a highly skilled and compassionate medical professional, brings a diverse background and a deep commitment to holistic wellness to our medical clinic. Born in San Jose, CA, but practically raised in Texas, Dr. Lin's journey in medicine began with fond memories of family road trips and enjoying Blue Bell ice cream at the age of 4. He graduated from LV Berkner High School in Richardson, TX and pursued his passion for biology, earning a BS degree from Baylor University in Waco, TX.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Lin worked as an EMT in Dallas, TX, gaining valuable experience in emergency medicine. Seeking further knowledge and growth, he ventured to Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO, where he fell in love with the great outdoors and developed a passion for skiing.

In 2020, Dr. Lin completed his residency in Family Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. Following his residency, he spent two years at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, CA, working closely with patients to manage their chronic conditions. Driven by his desire to be closer to his family and friends, Dr. Lin returned to the DFW area and dedicated a year to a private practice, focusing on chronic condition management, mental health, and hormone optimization.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Lin to Internal Medicine Associates of Plano, where he will continue to provide exceptional care to our patients. With his background in Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Lin believes in a holistic approach to wellness, emphasizing the balance of mind, body, and spirit. He is dedicated to primary and preventative care and values forming strong partnerships and long-lasting relationships with his patients.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Lin enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, skiing, and exploring different culinary experiences with his wife. He is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and he is currently learning Korean to further expand his ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
