Dr. Lauren Bishop is a board-certified Family Physician committed to delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Raised in Colleyville, Texas, she developed a passion for medicine at an early age, inspired by her father, who is also a Family Physician. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she also led and served as a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. Dr. Bishop then attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she obtained her medical degree and a certificate in Space Medicine.
After completing her Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she served as Academic Chief Resident, Dr. Bishop practiced at a well-regarded clinic in San Antonio. During her tenure, she provided exceptional care to a diverse patient population. Wanting to be closer to family, she returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband, Paul, and their daughter.
Whether managing complex medical conditions, providing acute care, or guiding patients on their wellness journey, Dr. Bishop is committed to ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care in a welcoming and supportive environment. She listens, educates, creates personalized care plans, and empowers individuals at every stage of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bishop enjoys spending time with her family at the Dallas Arboretum or local parks. They are members of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Plano. She loves crafting, thrifting, and exploring new restaurants. She also has two beloved pets—an orange cat named Dr. Pickles and a rescue dog, Winston. Dr. Bishop is excited to welcome new patients and build trusted relationships that support lifelong health and well-being.
